maltitol: Maltitol is a sugar alcohol obtained from corn starch. It features about 75% to 90% of the sweetness found in regular sugar but can not be browned. It does not promote tooth decay either.
xylitol: Xylitol is a sugar alcohol found in the fiber of many fruits and vegetables. It can be extracted from corn husks and birch trees as well. It is the only sweetener known to be beneficial to dental health.
